Don’t Miss The FRUIT. Magazine Experience!

Last month we had our first evening of the FRUIT. Magazine Experience! It was a wonderful night! We started the evening with our guests mingling and browsing our art gallery while listening to our FRUIT. Magazine Experience playlist. The art gallery features artwork and writing our readers have created and submitted to us that have been featured throughout all of our issues. Many people made a point to let us know how moved they were by the high level of talent these teens have and by the stories they wrote about. The playlist features Christian Hip Hop artists that work with us regularly by letting us do features on them and even by performing in the facilities. You can follow our playlist on Spotify here!

Then, our guests got some food and found their seats as we played an awesome video explaining who Freestyle Ministries is, what FRUIT. Magazine does, and stories explaining the HUGE impact we have! After the video, we had an amazing section of the night called Voices of Hope. We really wanted to give a voice to the teens we work with in our event but because of logistical and confidentiality issues we can’t have the actual teens we work with there. However, we were able to find some awesome teens to volunteer their time to be a voice for their peers by performing songs and monologues to tell their stories. It is a really wonderful experience.

Then lastly, the Executive Director and Founder of Freestyle Ministries, Tera Swigart, came up and talked to our guests about why she started Freestyle Ministries and FRUIT. Magazine and her heart for both. She also explains really awesome volunteer opportunities to get involved with us!

If you were able to come to our October 18th event, THANK YOU! We were so happy to have you. If you missed out, you have another opportunity!! We are having another FRUIT. Magazine Experience on November 15th at 6:30 in Sugar Land! Register below to let us know you’re coming!
